My Story....

My name is Donna Nicolaidis.  For nearly 25 years I have worked as a remedial massage therapist and exercise coach in the United States and Australia having worked with professional, semi professional and collegiate sporting teams on both continents.

I myself am a retired athlete. I have won gold, silver and bronze medals at the state and national level in Olympic Weightlifting in the 1990's.  I understand the importance of creating a balanced lifestyle in and out of the gym.  

My biggest pleasure, and challenge, these days are the clients I see everyday in my private practice.  They are individuals looking for long term, lasting solutions to problems such as; muscle & joint pain, weight & sleep issues, fatigue, nutrition, stress and decreased health & vitality.

Recently, I have noticed one common thread with my clients who are suffering with one or all of the symptoms listed above, most of them are women! Some of them as young as their late twenties suffering peri menopausal symptoms!? 

Going through menopause some 5+ years ago I began noticing weight creeping on, a decrease in my energy levels and sleep issues. Ladies..... does any of that sound familiar to you?  I was told by family, friends and most upsetting to me, the medical community, that it was just part of ageing.  I was handed a prescription for pills which would help with the symptoms, told to schedule an appointment again in 3 months and shown the door.

I sat in the car dismayed......this couldn't be happening to me, I've studied the body for the last 20 years, certainly there was a better solution than a pill.  I didn't just want to reduce my symptoms I wanted to know why I was having them and what I needed to do to get rid of them.  I wanted to address my symptoms, not cover them up!  Ageing should be just a number, not a list of symptoms.  I started reading and researching anything I could get my hands on about why I, and many of my clients, were having these symptoms & how I could correct them naturally and permanently.  

I turned once again to the CHEK Institute in the United States for the solutions to my and my clients health problems.  I have studied and followed the CHEK Institute principles in the areas of exercise and rehabilitation for the past 18 years so I once again put my trust into Paul's & the institute's teachings and I began studying the holistic lifestyle program while at the same time implementing them into my life. Within twelve months not only were my symptoms gone!! I was only a few kilos shy of my 1990's competition weight of 50 kilos!! 

To become a CHEK HLC, I attended the CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Advanced Training Program. This program combines an intensive study of the relationship between food and lifestyle habits and the tools to recognize and create individualized eating plans to improve my client’s health and overall wellness. In addition, a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach understands the important roles that sleep, food quality, stress reduction techniques, and exercise play in improving the health of their clients and learn practical methods that initiate valuable lifestyle changes.

My approach is simple, sustainable and guaranteed! There are no quick fix fad diets, exercise regimen, shakes or pills. When you work one on one with me I can promise you will lose weight, have more energy and less muscle and joint pain!  I can make that promise because I will give you the tools you need to make lifestyle choices in six key areas that will have you not only losing weight but keeping it off while increasing your health & vitality!  

I will be the first one to tell you your journey may not always be easy, but I will also be the first to tell you that with proper guidance, motivation and some perseverance it is achievable!

I hold true to the Chinese proverb....'give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and feed him for a lifetime.'
